Unforgettable music, destinations and experiences, designed by Dave Koz

Somma

A voyage shaped around music, place, and shared experiences.

Somma is a smaller, curated cruise experience hosted by Dave Koz.
It is designed for guests who value music, meaningful travel, and time that feels unhurried.

The atmosphere onboard is calm and considered. Days unfold with room to explore, listen, and connect, without the feeling of needing to be everywhere at once.

Somma is offered once a year, and each voyage is shaped with care around its destinations, its artists, and the natural rhythm of a week at sea.

A Different Kind of Cruise Experience

Somma is designed to feel personal from the moment you arrive.

Spaces are easier to move through. There are no long lines, no competing schedules, and no sense of being pulled from one thing to the next.

Programming is intentional rather than constant. Time is left open on purpose. Guests are free to engage deeply or simply enjoy the setting, knowing they are not missing something happening elsewhere.

If you enjoy packed days and nonstop activity, Somma may not be the right experience.

If you appreciate space, ease, and experiences that unfold naturally, it often is.

Mornings begin gently

Light fills the ship. Coffee is slow. On port days, the ship often arrives in smaller harbors, making it easy to step ashore without crowds or rigid schedules. Some guests explore nearby streets or cafés. Others take in the view from the deck before heading out.

On sea days, mornings are quieter still. Time stretches. Guests read, reflect, or simply enjoy the feeling of being underway.

Days find their own pace

Some are spent exploring destinations with strong local character and history. The ship’s size allows access to ports that feel intimate rather than busy, giving each stop its own sense of feel and adventure.

Other days invite guests to stay onboard. To sit with a view. To share lunch and conversation without watching the clock. The design of the week removes the pressure to choose “correctly.”

Spacious Afternoons

This is often when conversations linger and paths cross again. Some afternoons include talks, interviews, or informal conversations with musicians, writers, or guests onboard. These moments are designed to feel accessible and relaxed, not staged or formal.

Other afternoons pass with little structure at all, shaped by rest, reflection, or time on deck as the coastline slowly shifts by.

Evenings bring the heart of the voyage

Live performances take place in warm, intimate rooms where guests sit close to the music. The atmosphere is attentive and familiar, allowing performances to feel shared rather than produced.

Alongside music, evenings may include conversations or storytelling with artists onboard. These moments often continue beyond the room, carrying naturally into dinner or late-night conversation.

A week that feels connected

By the end of the voyage, many guests describe Somma less as a cruise and more as a shared experience.

The rhythm of the days, the intimacy of the performances, the conversations that unfold, and the ease of the setting come together in a way that feels cohesive and personal.

Somma is designed to be experienced fully, without rushing, without crowds, and without the sense of needing to do everything. The week meets guests where they are, and often leaves them feeling both rested and deeply engaged.
