The Somma Experience Guide
Jewels of the Adriatic
November 6 to 13, 2026
Welcome
Thank you for your interest in Somma.
This guide is an introduction to a once-a-year voyage designed to move at an easy pace, with time for music, conversation, and exploring the places we visit. It isn’t meant to be read all at once. You can come back to it whenever it’s helpful.
There’s no pressure to decide quickly. The goal is simply to give you a clear sense of what the experience is like, so you can decide if it feels right for you.
What Somma Is
Somma is a small-ship voyage centered on live performances, genuine connection, and the ease that comes from thoughtful planning.
Each year, we spend a week in one region, traveling through smaller ports that allow for a more personal experience. Days stay flexible. Evenings bring people together through music and conversation.
Guests often tell us that Somma feels easy to settle into. The atmosphere isn’t forced. Over the course of the week, a natural rhythm develops, with room for both shared time and quiet moments on your own.
“Every concert felt close and memorable.”
“No crowds, no rushing, just a thoughtful and beautifully balanced experience.”
“The sense of community onboard was incredible.”
“Luxury without the stuffiness. Community without the crowds.”
The Journey
A Somma voyage follows a simple rhythm.
Mornings are quiet. Some days you may head ashore to explore a harbor town or wander a few streets. Other days you may stay on board, enjoy the view, read, or rest.
Afternoons are open. There’s time to enjoy the ship, meet fellow guests, or spend time alone without feeling like you’re missing anything.
Evenings are the heart of the voyage. Guests gather in familiar rooms for live performances and conversation. The setting is intimate, and the experience feels shared rather than staged.
The days move without hurry, creating a week that feels balanced, personal, and complete.
Evenings and Entertainment
Live performances are central to the Somma experience.
Dave Koz invites musicians, performers, and speakers who feel right for the week. Performances take place in smaller settings, with guests seated close to the stage. Each evening has its own tone.
These are not large-scale productions. They are live moments shared among people who are present and paying attention. Often, conversations continue after the performance, carrying the evening forward in an easy way.
Many guests say these nights are what they remember most—not just for the music, but for the feeling of sharing it together.
The Adriatic Region
The 2026 Somma voyage explores the Adriatic region, beginning in Greece, traveling through Montenegro and Croatia, and concluding in Italy.
The itinerary focuses on smaller ports that offer a strong sense of place and time to explore without crowds. Each destination has its own character, from historic harbor towns to coastal cities shaped by stone, light, and water.
Rather than moving quickly from place to place, the route is designed to unfold gradually, allowing the region to reveal itself over the course of the week.
